Yes. We celebrated with a trip to Iceland on our own, a small 6 person ceremony in Marianna, Florida with our parents and Matt’s grandmother, and we had a bonkers kid-created celebration.
There’s so many of you we haven’t gotten a chance to celebrate with yet, and hope over the next few years we’ll get to carve more time with each of you.

Our legal names are and will continue to be Gareth Gwyn and Matt Davis. Also, sometimes we will use the shared name Davwyn because it’s fun! (Pronounced “Duh-Vwyn”).
Update: Our daughter Zora’s official last name is Davwyn.

Right now, we are both based in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. We live right across the street from each other in separate, but close proximity houses. Living in different houses creates a shared vision and serves to have a wonderful balance of independence and interdependence as well as a flow of both spaciousness and intimacy in our dynamic.

We differ around our perspectives on the boundaries around when, where, how, and why graffiti street artists put paint on public and private properties.
2023: We had a six person ceremony in Marianna, Florida. It was held in the same church where Matt’s grandmother, Mimi, and his mom and dad, Cindy and Ernie, got married. Marianna is the town where Mimi and Cindy both grew up. For much of Matt’s childhood growing up overseas, “Mimi’s House” was the place he’d visit and stay in the USA. We stayed on Mimi’s land in her beautiful lake cottage and she graciously opened up her home and formal dining room for the reception!
